Deployable freefloating recorder. 
It is a 'balckbox'; recorder combines a FDR, a CVR and an ELT, in one single deployable unit and deploys away from the aircraft during an accident, hence avoiding the crash forces. This allows a quick location and an economical recovery of the recorder, especially in accidents over seas. Thanks to the integrated ELT, Search And Rescue authorities are immediately alerted and the information of the accident location is provided to allow a quick recovery of the survivors.
