CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence)
CPL permits the holder to fly as a pilot-in-command of a single pilot aircraft or as co-pilot in a multi-crew aircraft. The licence entitles you to carry passengers for hire or reward, in association with a licensed air service operator. The flying hours should also have specified time as pilot-in-command with cross country and instrument flight experience. For applying CPL, the applicant must fulfil the following requirements.
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Must have at least 200 flying hours during your Private Pilot Licence Training. It is important that you maintain your logbook and keep logging the hours you have flown as a proof of experience.
- Should have completed all the theory modules with higher standards.
- Should pass a strict medical examination in order to obtain a Class 1 medical certificate.
- Recommendation from your chief flight instructor.
Once you get your CPL at the age of 18, you can build your flight time to progress towards ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).
