Canadian Bombardier 415 is the world’s only aircraft designed for aerial firefighting. It can scoop up to 6137 litres of water from any nearby water source such as lakes and ocean, mix it with foam suppressant if desired, and make repeated drops on a fire without having to return to base to refill its tanks. It takes only 12 seconds to scoop 6000 litres at a speed of 75 knots.
