Regulations Pertaining to the Cables

The recent advances made in performance of dielectric materials has led to the development of aircraft cables which differ significantly from those in service in older aircraft types. Experience gained to date on the operation of existing aircraft cables and on the recent developments, has shown that there are a number of areas where it is considered general guidance material would be beneficial. This Leaflet is intended to provide such guidance on the approval or acceptance of electrical cables and to assist in the supervision of cable manufacturers.
