EASA Part-66

EASA Part-66 licence is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. The following ways lead you to obtain EASA Part-66 licence.

 

Part-147 approved training route

At the end of Part-147 program, the training schools will place you in a maintenance facility for minimum 10 weeks to gain hands on experience, called on job training. For B1.1 and B1.3 category, approved course must be undertaken with practical experience for at least 2 years minimum. Whereas only 1 year experience is enough for B1.2 and B1.4 categories.

 

Self-starter or Studying in a non EASA Part-147 school

If you choose to sit for EASA exams on your own at external examination centres, you are required to have minimum work experience. For B1.1 and B1.3 category, approved course must be undertaken with maintenance experience for at least 5 years minimum. Whereas 3 year experience is required for B1.2 and B1.4 categories.

 

Note: All applicants must have at least one year experience on aircraft distinctive to the category or sub-category, out of which 6 months must have been gained recently.
