ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence)

As an airline pilot, your career will be in a secured zone once you have obtained your Airline Transport Pilot Licence. ATPL certificate permits you to fly as a pilot-in-command of a single pilot aircraft and multi-crew aircraft.

        After successfully completing CPL, you undertake further advanced study in aerodynamics, air law, navigation, human factors, flight planning, meteorology, performance and loading. Your actual licence will be granted to you once you have logged on at least 1500 flying hours with specified time as pilot in command, cross country, night flying and instrument flying time. For applying the licence, the applicant must fulfil the following requirements.

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold or have held a Command Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
  • Hold a valid English language proficiency assessment of at least level 4
  • Have a current aviation security status check clearance
  • Hold or be eligible to hold a flight radio-telephone operator license
  • Have passed the written examination
  • Hold or have held a command multi engine airplane instrument rating
  • Have a total of 1500 hours flight time (check with your local civil aviation authorities for details)
